A message from Mr. Santos,
The professionals at Ridgewood Intermediate School 93 are committed to providing the highest quality standards-based learning environment to prepare all of our students for the rigors of high school, college, and the world of twenty-first century work.
Our use of periodic assessment data, technological tools, and collaborative planning to focus supervision and instruction has resulted in more students meeting or exceeding the standards in ELA and Math than in previous years. This achievement is supported by high marks on our most recent School Progress Report and School Quality Review conducted by the DOE.
The work of our teachers and the achievements of our students have been recognized city-wide and nationally. IS 93 is recognized as a "National Model School" by the National Center on Education and the Economy for our implementation of the America's Choice School Design reform model. The New York City Department of Education awarded IS 93 with the title of “Collaborative Community of Practice (CCP).” As an “iTeach iLearn” school, IS 93 leads the pack of NYC schools committed to using instructional and informational technology to close the achievement gap.
Despite our current achievements, however, we must continue to improve our ability to focus supervision and instruction so that all of our students can meet or exceed New York State Standards.
